Abstract

The rapid development of Artificial Intelligence has provided an opportunity for students and mathematics teachers to improve their teaching and learning mathematics. AI development requires many skills that mathematics and critical thinking are at the top. To better understand the teachers’viewpoints regarding freedom and school mathematics, research was conducted in which six mathematics teachers participated. The data were collected via semi-structured interviews. The findings showed that teachers generally show no resistance to the use of artificial intelligence as an instructional tool. In mathematics education, AI can serve as an innovative means of teaching, offering students more autonomy and flexibility in how they learn but teachers are concerned about the integration of AI with school mathematics , It should be noted that artificial intelligence is often referred to as a double-edged sword. The key themes identified through data analysis were: AI as an instructional tool, AI as a new educational horizon for school mathematics , integrated mathematics curriculum, and mathematics teachers educations . research suggests that although teachers express certain concerns, they recognize the integration of artificial intelligence into the school mathematics curriculum as inevitable indeed. Accordingly, there is a pressing need to equip teachers with the necessary training to effectively integrate AI into mathematics teaching and make meaningful use of it in classroom practices
