Abstract

The purpose of this research was to compare the effectiveness of training attention on performance with sensory integration in reducing spelling disorder and math learning disorder in elementary school students of Bojnord city. This research was conducted using an interventional and applied research method, which is quasi-experimental with pre-test-post-test in the academic year of 2022-2023. The statistical population of the research included all the students of the first year of elementary school in Bojnord city, numbering 2491 people. The sample size was selected based on the ability of the researcher, the number of 60 people; They were placed in the screening process based on the spelling and math score and the agreement of the student's families randomly in three groups of 20 people: experiment 1 (performance training), experiment 2 (sensory integration training) and control (no intervention). The experimental groups were trained and did not receive the relevant protocols. in the interventional control group. The tools used included the researcher's spelling and math tests. Descriptive statistics (frequency distribution and percentage) were used to analyze the data, and inferential statistics were used to find the difference between the averages of the control and experimental groups using the covariance test. The findings indicate; It is effective to pay attention to the performance of (11.40 percent) spelling disorder and (12.30) math disorder and sensory integration (11.90 percent) spelling disorder and (12.80 percent) math disorder at the level of 0.05 Percent. Performance attention training and sensory integration training had a similar effect on reducing the spelling disorder and math learning disorder of elementary school students in Bojnord city. Teachers can reduce students' spelling disorder and math learning disorder by using performance training and sensory integration training.
